Hi, I’m Andrew, also known as PixelReason. I’m a professional artist that’s worked in just about every category of the art industry.
Getting hired to work on Image Comics’ Witchblade at the age of 16, I became one of the youngest mainstream artists in American comic book history. After having worked on more than one hundred issues of comic books, I went into the animation industry, DVD interactive design and just about anything else one can imagine.
From interactive design for the Finding Nemo DVD to background paintings for several Lion King interactive games, chances are high that you’ve seen something I’ve worked on.
It’s always been about waking up every morning excited to work on my next project. This website will serve as a collection of many of my most current projects as well as a way to peak behind the curtain of the creation process.
What advice would you give to aspiring artists who want to improve?
Practice with intention.
Deliberate practice.
Practice everyday.
Inspiration might not always show up, but Elizabeth Gilbert reminds us that if we’re at our desk with consistency, when it does arrive, it’ll know where to find us.
Get out of your comfort zone constantly.
After a while, nothing will feel uncomfortable or intimidating.
